Ottawa Champions RHP Matt Tulley made his first home start on Friday against the Quebec Capitales and his performance earned him the Can-Am League’s Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week award for the week ending July 16.

Tulley, 23, picked up with first professional win in the 3-1 victory over Quebec, allowing only two hits in seven shutout innings while striking out one and walking five.

The Lowell, MA, native becomes the fourth Champions pitcher to win the award in 2017 after Yean Carlos Gil, Daniel Cordero, and Phillippe Aumont won it in consecutive weeks in June.

Champions single game tickets can be purchased online at www.ottawachampions.com, by phone at 613.745.2255, or in person at the RCGT Park box office.

Tickets for the 2017 Can-Am League vs. American Association All-Star Game scheduled for July 25 in Ottawa are also on sale and can be purchased in the same manner.
